Questions, problems or feedback? Write to info@matukufilm.com in English or Turkish. Please include your device (Mac, iPad or iPhone), its OS version, the QUE Stage version and a short description of what happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps a lot.
Türkçe de yazabilirsiniz. Cihazınızı, sistem sürümünü ve ne olduğunu kısaca ekleyin.
We usually reply within two working days. If it is a show week, put URGENT in the subject line.
Before the show
Checks that prevent most problems. The full routine is in Learn: show network and on show day.
- Same network. The device running QUE Stage and your Hue Bridge must be on the same Wi‑Fi or wired network. Guest networks and hotel Wi‑Fi often keep devices from seeing each other.
- Test BLACKOUT once. Press BLACKOUT, then RELEASE. If both work, the whole chain is alive.
- Keep the device awake. On a Mac, turn off sleep for the show and keep it on power. On an iPad or iPhone, keep QUE Stage in the foreground and turn off Auto‑Lock.
- Bridge on a cable, devices on 5 GHz. Connect the Bridge to your own router with Ethernet and keep 2.4 GHz free for the lights.
- Nothing else controls the lights. Turn off Hue app automations, timers, sensors and Hue Sync on the show Bridge.
- The Entertainment area is still there. Check it in the Hue app on show day.
Setup
Which devices run QUE Stage?
Mac, iPad and iPhone. Each runs the full app on its own; you do not need a second computer. You can also open the same show on another device on the network and hand control over to it.
Which Hue products work?
Any light connected to a Philips Hue Bridge (the square Bridge V2). Bluetooth‑only setups without a Bridge are not supported. For Entertainment streaming, set up an Entertainment area in the Hue app first.
How many lights can I use?
As many as your Bridges hold. Hue streams up to 10 lights per Bridge, and those follow chases and FX instantly. Lights beyond that still work but react more slowly. For more fast lights, add a second Bridge; QUE Stage runs several Bridges as one stage. See Plan your rig.
Is QUE Stage emergency lighting?
No. It runs show lighting and does not replace the venue's emergency and safety lighting.
Do I need a Hue account or the Hue app?
QUE Stage needs no account. You use the Hue app only to set up the Bridge, add lights and create an Entertainment area.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything runs on your local network. The internet is only needed to install the app and manage your subscription.
Can I try it without lights?
Yes. TRY THE DEMO on the subscription or setup screen opens a full demo with virtual Bridges and a sample show. The Experience page is a lighter version in the browser.
Connection
QUE Stage can't find my Bridge.
- Check that the device and the Bridge are on the same network.
- Open the Hue app once and confirm the Bridge is online there.
- Restart the Bridge: unplug it for ten seconds.
- Allow local network access. Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. iPad or iPhone: Settings → QUE Stage → Local Network.
- Still nothing? Write to us with your router model.
The Bridge button step didn't work.
Press the round button on the Bridge, then retry within 30 seconds. The access key is stored only on your device; it is never written into your show file.
The connection dropped during the show.
The lights keep their last look; nothing changes on stage. Reconnecting never fires a cue by itself. When the connection returns, the cue list is exactly where you left it.
Shows and cues
Where are my show files?
.que files live on the device you saved them on. Back them up like any document. They contain fixtures, cues and settings, never your Bridge access key. To move a show with everything in it, use Export Package and import it on the other device.
I changed a light after CAPTURE and the cue didn't update.
Changes after CAPTURE are live only. Press UPDATE to write them into the current cue.
Can two devices control the show at the same time?
One device drives at a time; others can watch. You can move the whole show, including the current scene and running FX, to another device without the lights changing.
What happens if I replace a bulb?
Patch the new lamp to the same fixture. Your cues do not change.
Can I run cues from a MIDI controller or QLab?
Yes. MIDI MAP learns any control; OSC MAP gives every control a ready address. External control works only while ARMED, so nothing fires by accident.
Subscription
How does the trial work?
Seven days free, then a monthly or yearly subscription through the App Store.
Does one subscription cover Mac, iPad and iPhone?
Yes, with the same Apple ID on each device.
How do I cancel?
Apple ID settings → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next payment; the app keeps working until the period ends. Your .que files stay on your device either way.
I paid, but the app says I'm not subscribed.
On the subscription screen, tap Restore Purchases. If that fails, write to us with the Apple receipt email.
Does a show stop if the subscription lapses mid‑show?
No. A running show is never locked. The subscription is only checked when QUE Stage opens.
Privacy
Does QUE Stage collect anything?
No. No account, no analytics, no tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
